Shipping Policy

Last updated 2 October 2026

Where we post

Anywhere in the United States, including PO boxes and APO or FPO addresses. We do not post outside the United States.

What it costs

Nothing extra. Postage is included in the price of the letter. There is no shipping charge at checkout. Sales tax is added where we are required to collect it.

When it goes out

We post letters the same or the next business day. Orders placed at the weekend or on a public holiday go out the next business day.

How long it takes to arrive

Once posted, letters travel with USPS First-Class Mail, which usually takes 2 to 5 business days. This is not a guarantee. Delivery times depend on USPS, and can be longer around holidays or during bad weather.

We do not guarantee an arrival date, and we cannot promise a letter will arrive by a specific occasion. If a date matters to you, order early.

If we cannot post your letter within the time stated above, we will email you, tell you the new expected date, and give you the choice of waiting or cancelling for a full refund.

Tracking

Letters are sent as ordinary First-Class Mail and are not tracked. We will email you when your letter has been posted.

Addresses

You are responsible for the address you give us. We may check it against USPS records and suggest a correction, but we send it as you confirm it.

We do not refund or reprint letters that do not arrive because the address was wrong, incomplete, or out of date.

If you do not have the recipient's address, have the letter posted to you instead. It arrives sealed and you can hand it over yourself.

If a letter does not arrive

Email thedoveletter@gmail.com with your order number. If 30 days have passed since we posted it, we will refund you in full. See our Refund Policy.

If you do not want to receive letters

If someone has sent you a letter from The Dove Letter and you would rather not receive another, email thedoveletter@gmail.com and we will make sure you do not. You do not need to explain why.
